About Something Extra

Something Extra is in the hands of Barbara van Gelder.

Together with a team of more than 100 artists from very diverse disciplines, she carries out art and culture projects throughout the Netherlands and even beyond.

Barbara graduated as a historian and made a dance performance about 100 years of dance fads for the Historical Museum Amsterdam. “That was in 2000 and to this day the performance can be seen at schools throughout the Netherlands.” She also regularly comes into action at the Mauritshuis and for Boijmans van Beuningen during museum nights, relationship evenings and other events. “I energize events through a surprisingly warm welcome or interactive interlude.”

Costume Artist

In addition to costumes, Barbara van Gelder also collects fantastic dancers, actors and other performers to dress up projects literally and figuratively.

In love with Delft
